Now go to the following link and listen to this news report http://www.ketknbc.com/news/should-a-facebook-post-be-grounds-for-firing

Recent Situation at a local company:  In a company when someone is hired or gets a promotion it's normal policy that the manager and Human Resource Department notify all parties involved before general employees are notified.  This is considered "common courtesy" and helps managers provide a smooth transition.   For example:  what if you-the student, found out your teacher was being replaced ... and your teacher knew nothing of this.  Recently, something similar happen at a local company.  Within the last month the "ABC company" interviewed a candidate for a Site Engineering Managers position at their headquarters in North Carolina. The candidate was excited about being hired and posted the name of the company and title he was hired for, on his online resume.  Someone from the "ABC Company" noticed the resume . . . the man being replaced had not been notified, none of the engineers in the group were aware of this either.  This posting put the company in a very awkward position.

Based on what you just read and listened to, come up with 5 personal rules you would follow when posting things online.  Be specific and key your first and last name at the end.

  15. There are two posts above with no name - I have no idea who posted these. To get credit you need to see me and state you forgot to sign your post. Personal Rules about posting should include the following:
If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't post it.
Don't post angry or hurtful messages - if you have negative feelings about something someone said or did, talk to him/her in person.
Respect other that will see your post - well put Madyson.
Always be aware others see what you post - even possible employers even when your site is marked private - there are ways around "private".
For security, don't give blow-by-blow where you are at or what you are doing at that moment.
